It’s Amazon Prime Day!

The annual sales event began on July 16 and will run through the 17, and right now, a new offer on Kindle Unlimited is available alongside Kindle Prime Day deals.

Of course, Amazon is known for year-round sales but deals on things like Kindle Unlimited are more rare.

Right now, Amazon Prime members can get three months of Amazon’s library-esque reading subscription for free.

Kindle Unlimited is normally priced at $11.99/month, so this is a pretty great deal if you ask us, and it comes just in time for all of the summer reading you can do on your waterproof Kindle.

Most currently active deals, including the Audible deal and this Kindle Unlimited offer, are only for Amazon Prime subscribers.

If you aren’t one already, you’ll need to be anyway to shop the rest of the sales, and who can resist a free trial? The 30-day trial will take you through Prime Day. A Prime membership costs $14.99/month or $139/year, and in addition to access to exclusive deals, you’ll gain access to free books on Prime Reading, original shows and movies on the Prime Video streaming service, and so much more.

Kindle Unlimited is a subscription-based service for readers who primarily read e-books. If you read just two KU books a month, the subscription pays for itself.

Similar to a library (only paid), subscribers can borrow and hold up to 20 books at a time in a digital library. There’s also included access to select audiobooks and popular magazines.

Kindle Unlimited’s catalog changes often, with books coming off of and joining the service all of the time. However, once you borrow a book, it stays in your library until you return it, even if that book is no longer available to borrow on Kindle Unlimited.

We recommend borrowing books as soon as you see them even if you don’t plan on reading them right away, because they could be gone between when you first spot them and when you decide to read them.

Kindle Unlimited’s library is made up of over four million titles, per Amazon, and we’ve found that there seems to be a particular emphasis on romance novels and thrillers.
