It’s Presidents Day. Technically, I have the day off, so I’m not sure why I’m here, about to write a story about a headboard on Wayfair.
I guess because I’m using my day off to shop, Presidents Day (Feb. 16) is actually a good time to find big deals on furniture and Wayfair is offering up to 70% off, sitewide.
I’ve been in my current apartment for close to two years now, and while my living room looks amazing (think minimalist meets cool girl with a splash of 70s decor thrown in for personality), my bedroom is an embarrassment. After some objective scrutiny, I’ve concluded it’s because I don’t have a headboard.
Willa Arlo Ashwin Upholstered Wingback Headboard
WayfairPeople always credit the right rug for bringing a room together. Typically, I agree. But when a bedroom is the subject of the design dilemma, it’s really about the headboard. It draws the eyes upward and provides a focal point. Without it, you’re risking the room feeling less like a sanctuary and more like a place people rent by the hour.
An adjustable headboard that doesn’t require my porter or someone from TaskRabbit to set up is exactly what my space needs, and I think the Ashwin Winback from Willa Arlo is the lucky winner, especially at 49% off.
The adjustable headboard has nearly a perfect 5-star rating on Wayfair, with more than 5,000 reviews to back it up. Its tufted design and nailhead trim will bring that touch of sophistication my room is sadly lacking, while the upholstery (a blend of linen, rayon and polyester) will provide texture and warmth. Numerous customers report that it’s easy to install and looks even prettier in real life. It also comes in six different colors, sizes Queen and King.
I’ve been relying on Wayfair for years to outfit my apartments. While I always appreciated the free fast delivery that it offers, it’s really the style designs for less that have made me a loyal customer. I’d rather budget for a trip than a new sofa or mattress, and Wayfair always has a deal on something that looks boujee — and if we’re being honest, the look, along with comfort, is what we care about when furniture is concerned.
I’ve seen a variation of this headboard at multiple other places — all more than $1,000, but I’m not going to bite. The Ashwin Winback not only meets my design criteria but also my budget, and now I can actually afford to buy some other things to spruce the space up.
FYI, Wayfair’s Presidents Sale ends tonight, so if you’re redoing your home, this is the time to act. Your bedroom (and wallet) are counting on you.
