What CBS Sports broadcast duo only reads books without an appendix?

Simms missed yesterday’s Raiders-Colts telecast after undergoing an emergency appendectomy in Indianapolis Saturday. This past May 3, Gumbel, who is Simms’ NFL boothmate, underwent emergency surgery to have his appendix removed.

CBS yesterday reported that Simms was doing well. He was replaced on the telecast by Todd Blackledge.
