Scott Stevens and Ken Daneyko were key penalty killers last season, but under Robbie Ftorek, shorthanded defense has virtually become their domain, exclusively.

And these are the two oldest defensemen on the team.

Ftorek is playing with fire using Stevens so much on the penalty kill. He might as well relieve the captain of some of that load, and keep him from wearing out before the playoffs. It’s not working this way, anyhow.
