SARATOGA SPRINGS – Following Wednesday’s scratch of Purge, detention barn claimed another victim yesterday in fourth race when Bobby Frankel’s filly Lady Pegasus came unglued in D-barn, arrived in paddock pouring sweat, was scratched, reducing field to four and forcing refunds of show and trifecta bets. George Steinbrenner’s Sweet Symphony, off at 1-5 for Mott-Bailey, remained unbeaten in three starts, winning as she pleased.

1ST RACE – Rebounding from three beaten favorites on opening day, Pletcher-Velazquez got back on track with 2-1 choice Tiffany Touch, who was along late to run down Puzzle.

2ND RACE – Pletcher-Velazquez right back with another favorite, 2-1 India; beaten neck at 7-5 in Belmont debut, 400G daughter of Hennessy gunned to lead out of gate, opened daylight around turn while still in hand, drew off as much best.

4TH RACE – Pletcher-Velazquez strike again with Webmistress, 3-year-old filly favored at 9-5.
