DISCOVERY HANDICAP

Aqueduct, eighth race. Grade 3. Purse: $100,000. Mile-and-an-eighth, 3-year-olds. Post: 3:44 p.m.

LOWDOWN: Overcommunication gives away a lot of experience to most of his opponents in this race but he has run two good preps since returning from a long layoff for Todd Pletcher. He could surprise against a suspect field.

MRS. REVERE

Churchill Downs, ninth race. Grade 2. Purse: $175,000. Mile-and-a-sixteenth, turf, 3-year-old fillies. Post: 4:37 p.m.

LOWDOWN: Aruna has won both starts since coming to the U.S., including the Pebbles at Belmont last out. With Ice Mist and Dade Babe in the field, there’s enough early speed to set up Aruna’s late run.

HOLLYWOOD PREVUE

Hollywood Park, eighth race. Grade 3. Purse: $100,000. Seven furlongs, 2-year-olds. Post: 7:05 p.m.

LOWDOWN: High Level Jeff makes his first start for Doug O’Neill after winning his first two races as the favorite at Calder. This will be his first start over a synthetic surface, but horses coming out of Calder often have an edge in conditioning.

TV: TVG, OTB Ch. 71

LAST WEEK: Changing Skies (3-5) was fourth in the Long Island at Aqueduct. Mystic (5-1) was fourth in the Commonwealth Turf at Churchill. Treat Gently (2-1) was fourth in the Hollywood Turf Cup.
