DUBAI WORLD CUP
Meydan, eighth race. Grade 1. Purse: $10,000,000. Mile-and-a-quarter, Tapeta, 3-year-olds and up. Post: 1:35 p.m.
LOWDOWN: Twice Over, now a 6-year-old, has been a consistent, high-class racehorse since he was 2, winning 10 of 23. Any thought he does not like Meydan’s synthetic Tapeta surface was erased last out when Twice Over demolished a large field in the Maktoum Challenge over this track at this distance, drawing clear by 23⁄4 lengths while in hand.

Fair Grounds, 10th race. Grade 2. Purse: $1,000,000. Mile-and-an-eighth, 3-year-olds. Post: 6:03 p.m.
LOWDOWN: Elite Alex has the look of a horse that’s craving for more distance after rallying from far back to finish third going a mile in the Feb. 21 Southwest. Though the son of Afleet Alex will break from post 11, look for Calvin Borel to take back immediately and drop down to the rail.
