Allan Houston is no lock to be selected for Feb. 11’s Eastern Conference All-Star Team but he’ll be there for festivities the day before. Houston was named as a participant in the All-Star Game’s 3-point shooting contest on the Saturday night before the big game at Washington’s MCI Center.

Houston is shooting 42 percent from 3-point land, 16th in the league.

Meanwhile, center Kurt Thomas underwent an MRI yesterday at Beth Israel on his bruised knee and sprained right ankle sustained in Wednesday’s Charlotte loss. Results showed no structural damage.

However, Thomas, the only Knick not to miss a game this season, is highly questionable for Super Bowl Sunday game vs. the Lakers.

If Thomas is out, the Knicks are left with Luc Longley, ex-Laker Travis Knight and Felton Spencer as their pivots to defend Shaquille O’Neal.

Also, Latrell Sprewell is listed with bruised right ribs but did not see a doctor yesterday and is probable.
