Dusty Zeigler makes a living crouched down, looking upside down from between his legs, so it’s easy to see why he has an unusual perspective on life and football. The Giants center has made it to his first Super Bowl and today begins his daily, off-beat reports, as told to The Post’s Paul Schwartz.

I AM excited to do this, I think it’s going to be refreshing for fans to have an offensive lineman’s point of view and to get to know me. I hope I can give ’em some locker room humor, something a little different, I guess. We do things to create an atmosphere and have a little fun.
Like on Saturday, I put some purple dye in Jason Whittle’s gloves. I hope it doesn’t wear off his hands until after the Super Bowl. He started it by throwing water in my face. There’s going to be a lot of reindeer games going on this week, trust me.
Like the other day, Tiki Barber was walking around the locker room with a video camera, he’s doing something for CBS. I started flashing in front of the camera, running naked. Other guys were doing crazy stuff, too. A lot of tomfoolery.

Everyone is pretty loose. I’m really looking forward to the flight, I know it’s going to be a lot of laughs. Usually guys like to go in there and play cards and dominoes and have a good time, and I think this time it’s going to be extra special, there’s going to be a lot of excitement on the plane, I think guys are going to be telling a few more jokes.
Usually I cut up for a little while, shoot the breeze with the guys, read a book. I think this plane ride is going to be a little different, I think everybody is going to be a little excited, nobody will go to sleep.
I’m ready to get in there and settled down in my room, get myself situated, so I can go out after practice and have a good time. The first night we don’t have anything planned, but at least one of the nights we’re going to get together as an offensive line and eat supper, make some jokes about one another’s physique.

I don’t think anybody on this team will get carried away but I think everybody will have a good time and enjoy themselves. We have curfew every night, about 1 a.m. the first night, other nights it’s midnight or 12:30. There’s part of me that says I’m a grown man and nobody should tell me when to come in and go to bed, but there’s another part of me that wants to win the game and be disciplined and focused and remember what I’m going down there for.
