NASCAR head Brian France was busted Sunday evening in the Hamptons for drunken driving and drug possession, according to cops — after reportedly name-dropping President Trump to try to get out of the arrest.
The 56-year-old auto-racing scion was behind the wheel of a 2017 Lexus when he blew through a stop sign in Sag Harbor around 7:30 p.m., police said.
France failed a field-sobriety test, posting a blood alcohol level of nearly twice the legal limit, according to TMZ.
Cops also found oxycodone pills on him during a search, officials said.
France reportedly tried to worm his way out of the arrest by name-dropping his powerful buddies — including Trump, sources told TMZ — but he was booked on charges of aggravated DUI and criminal possession of a controlled substance.
“We are aware of an incident that occurred (Sunday) night and are in the process of gathering information. We take this as a serious matter and will issue a statement after we have all of the facts,” NASCAR said in a statement.
He was released without bail at a Monday morning arraignment.
France was named in 2003 as the CEO of NASCAR, which was founded by his grandfather, Bill France Sr., in 1948.
