The Newark Star Ledger reported the Rutgers’ head coach can walk away from his contract without penalty if the university does not complete a major expansion of their stadium by 2009.

This hidden clause was one of many included by Rutgers to keep Greg Schiano as head coach of their football team following the team’s recent success.

“We wanted to maintain the momentum of the program,” university president Richard McCormick said. “We wanted to keep Greg Schiano as our coach.”
