ACHING COLON ‘WORRIED’
Last time Indians ace Bartolo Colon felt the same sensation in his right elbow, he was forced to miss the rest of the season.
Colon, whom the Yankees tagged for five runs in five innings yesterday, revealed after the game he had elbow pain from the third inning on. He will return to Cleveland today to be examined.
“I’m definitely worried,” Colon said through an interpreter. “When I got the same thing [in 1995], I was out for the rest of the season.”
In the minors in 1995, Colon sustained a bone chip in his elbow in late July, ending his campaign.
