Devin Davis’ college career had just ended, and he was already back on the court.

Houston’s fifth-year senior forward was back on the floor 45 minutes after the Cougars’ gut-wrenching 64-63 loss to Michigan in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. Davis had missed two free throws moments before Jordan Poole’s game-winning 3-pointer at the buzzer propelled Michigan to the win.

“He’s really upset, crying pretty bad,” teammate Armoni Brooks told FOX 26’s Mark Berman. “I just told him how much he meant to this team. … That we wouldn’t be here without him. … I’m going to keep telling him how much I love him.”
