The Mets were elated at the vocal support of the fans during the Braves series, and especially Wednesday in their 9-2 win. Before last night’s game, John Franco made a special appeal to the fans to continue to show up for the crucial final three-game series against the Pirates.

“That was incredible,” Franco said. “The fans were great and we fed off it. Everyone felt it. We need the fans to continue to come out, sell out the place and be really loud. It makes a difference. It can be real intimidating for the other guys.”
