On Tuesday night Alex Rodriguez hosted a team part for Team Dominica at the house he was living in here in Jupiter.

Moises Alou is team is team captain and he just had these comments about Rodriguez in the dugout before the Dominican Republic plays the Cardinals.

“We lost a big bomber on our team, a guy who can really hit. We were really counting on him. It’s unfortunate now we are just praying and hoping that he will be fine for the season. We found out this morning (from television reports) that he is having surgery. I remember he told my dad on Tuesday night that he was going to be here today, but unfortunately they found something wrong with him.

“We all wish he was here, we all love Alex and he would have made this team a lot better. He’s going to be missed dearly.”
