Monsignor Farrell is creeping back to the .500 mark.

Jason Failla gave up one run on two hits with six strikeouts in a complete-game performance to lead Farrell to a 2-1 win over Archbishop Stepinac in CHSAA Class AA baseball Saturday at the College of Staten Island.

Phil Ciprello and Rob DeAngelis each had an RBI for Farrell (4-5), which wrapped out seven hits. Seven different Lions batters had a hit. Stepinac falls to 5-5.

IVY PREP LEAGUE

Fieldston 9, Hackley 4: Daniel Brickner struck out four in six solid innings of work, Matt Guzman doubled three times and Will Savage drove in two runs and scored twice for Fieldston (10-2. 8-2), which hosts Berkeley Carroll Monday at 4:30 p.m. Hackley visits Poly Prep Wednesday at 4:30 p.m.

PSAL CLASS A

James Madison 1, Fort Hamilton 0: Joe Cali struck out seven, walked two and allowed no hits in seven innings for his second league win and Chris Vasquez drove in Sean Moore with the game’s only run for Madison (9-1) in Brooklyn A East. Fort Hamilton (8-2) is now tied with Telecommunications in Brooklyn A West.

Stuyvesant 9, Luperon 3: Alec Schaw had three hits and three RBIs, Kyle Yee doubled twice and scored three runs, Evan Lubin struck out seven in six innings for the win and Thomas Dorante had two hits, two RBIs and scored once for Stuyvesant (8-3) in Manhattan A West. Luperon is 6-4 in Manhattan A East.

William Bryant 4, Francis Lewis 3: Chris Alvarez doubled twice and drove in three runs, Nick Alvarez homered and Adonis Lao scored twice for Bryant (7-4) in Queens A West. George Cornielle scored two runs and added an RBI for Lewis (4-6) in Queens A East.

NON-LEAGUE

Poly Prep 7, Xavier 2: Andrew Zapata struck out seven and allowed three hits in a complete-game victory, Matt Coposio tripled, doubled and scored two runs and Andrew Doar had two hits and scored a run for Poly Prep (12-3), which has won nine straight and hosts New Dorp Monday at 4:30 p.m. in non-league action.

Riverdale 13, Trevor Day School 2: Armando Perez fell a home run short of the cycle, had four RBIs and scored twice, Shane Gaer picked up the win on the mound, had two hits, scored twice and drove in a run and Jeff Rivas had two hits, two RBIs and scored twice for Riverdale (6-6), which faces Packer Collegiate Monday at 4:30 p.m.

PSAL CLASS B

Renaissance 18, Beach Channel 6: Nicholas Colclough had two hits and five RBIs, Jordan White and Wagner Mendoza each scored three runs and drove in two and Mark Rodriguez also scored three runs and added an RBI for Renaissance (5-5), which scored seven runs in the fourth inning and six in the fifth, in Queens B South. Beach Channel falls to 7-2.
