This Twitter war is a real catfight.

Bengals wide receivers Chad Ochocinco and Terrell Owens launched a war of words Wednesday night.

The two outspoken receivers and former reality co-hosts teased each other for the Bengals’ disappointing 4-12 season and the current situation with quarterback Carson Palmer.

Ochocinco appeared to have sparked the conflict between the two former Pro Bowl receivers when he tweeted to Owens regarding Palmer threatening to retire if the Bengals do not trade him.

“Man its your f***ing fault my QB is retiring, I should whoop you’re a** cause they’re blaming me you f***ing Diva!!!” Ochocinco tweeted.

Owens, who is never one to stay quiet, fired back at his teammate, claiming Ochocinco should never have asked him to come to Cincinnati and that he was, in fact, the better receiver last season.

“I should whoop ur a** 4 asking me 2 come 2 Cincy! Yeh it’s my fault tht he’s retiring but not if I woulda had 15 TDs instead of 9,” Owens wrote back.

The Twitter battle — which, considering their history, could be nothing more than a publicity stunt — didn’t end there. Ochocinco downplayed Owens’ numbers from last season and wanted to dish out some of the blame.

“F**k yo touchdowns we went 4-12 and now my QB is leaving and they blaming me,you taking 50% of the blame for this s**t!!!” Ochocinco tweeted.

Owens appeared to get the last laugh however, when he took a shot at Ochocinco by calling him the Robin to Owens’ Batman.

“And so much ur “Batman & Robin” idea!! Where the hell ws Robin all year?” Owens said in two consecutive tweets.

Owens had 983 yards receiving and nine touchdowns; Ochocinco had 831 yards and four TDs.

It has been reported that the Bengals will part with both receivers this offseason.

Last month, during an episode of their “T.Ocho Show” on Versus, the duo expressed interest in joining the Jets following their loss to the Steelers in the AFC Championship.

“I’d do anything to play for someone like Rex Ryan or anyone who has that type of mentality,” Ochocinco said.

“I’m jumping on that bandwagon, too, because I was thinking the exact same thing, Chad,” Owens said.

Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis has lobbied Ochocinco on the idea of becoming teammates.

“I want Chad to come here and play for us, to be a Jet,”
