Finnish center Sean Bergenheim will sign a three-year deal today with the Islanders, The Post has learned.

Bergenheim, 19, was selected in the 2002 draft by the Islanders (No. 22) but many expected the two-way sparkplug to play another season with Jokerit of the Finnish League.

Apparently the chance to see time this season with the Isles outweighed another year in Europe.

Bergenheim, who scoreed three goals in 38 games with Jokerit last season, exploded for seven points (2-5-7) in last winter’s World Junior Championships last .
