As Floyd Mayweather won by unanimous decision, so too did Tom Brady, grabbing the title of best sports day ever.
The Patriots quarterback and just about the most enviable person on Earth chartered a private jet with his New England bros to the Kentucky Derby, then hopped on a flight to see Mayweather dance around Manny Pacquiao.
Brady and GronkGetty ImagesAt Churchill Downs, the four-time Super Bowl champion roistered with teammates including Julian Edelman, Danny Amendola and Rob Gronkowski, who might be the only person who can upstage Brady, wearing a sort of plaid suit over a shirt and tie in one of the more Gronk-est ensembles you can find.
After watching American Pharoah take the first leg of the Triple Crown, totally relatable Brady jetted out of Louisville for Las Vegas for the “Fight of the Century,” the years-in-the-making bout between Mayweather and Pacquiao.
A day of unimaginable hedonism did catch up with the superstar, though. He was interviewed by Jim Gray, producing a rare moment of less-than-perfection from the 37-year-old. Bouncing from Kentucky to Nevada, and likely all the vices that come with the privilege, produced a few cringe-worthy moments.
The megabout, and its mega price tag, attracted Hollywood’s finest. The Finest, though, was Beyonce, whose red, cleavage-heavy dress was the biggest knockout of the night.
