Vegas expects tonight’s LSU-Alabama game to be the heaviest-wagered college football game of the year to date.

“It’s gonna be the most heavily-played of the year so far,” said Wynn Sportsbook head John Avello. ”It’s Breeders Cup weekend, so there’s a huge crowd in already. Garth Brooks is in the hotel this weekend. We’re jam-packed.”

Avello estimates that “95 percent” of the handle will be rolling in later today.

“This one’s got the most hype around it,” Avello said. “It’s positioned correctly — five o’clock on the West Coast. Primetime.”
