With the Red Sox putting a hold on Mark Teixeira for the time being and their negotiations with Scott Boras, the Yankees will have a little more time to decide if they should go after Teixeira or Manny Ramirez.

Either way, the Yankees can’t go wrong. After improving their pitching staff with two more aces in CC Sabathia and A.J. Burnett, the Yankees need to add one more big hitter. Tex or Manny, two great choices, two great hitters. Ramirez would be motivated more than ever, and there is only one Manny, but Teixeira would give the Yankees balance on offense and defense and would mess up the Red Sox’ grand plans.

This will get more interesting by the day.
