A little more than a week into Bill Simmons’ controversial suspension from ESPN for saying the same things everyone else was saying about Roger Goodell and using some potty-mouth words, and it’s been radio silence from the columnist/podcaster/editor/personality.
But not Instagram silence!
Looking at the social media snaps, you might easily think Simmons is on vacation — if he weren’t on a very, very serious disciplinary hiatus, that is. The Sports Guy is looking more like the Golf Guy as the three-week ban unfolds: soaking up the California sun, hanging with celebrity friends, watching the “liar”-run NFL on satellite.
Maybe his future in Bristol is indeed in jeopardy; in the meantime, he takes a break and burnishes his credentials as an anti-establishment renegade.
