ABSTRACT:

Falcons 20 49ers 18

ATLANTA – Four weeks after a quadruple bypass, the only thing thinner than Dan Reeves’ blood was his patience.

With 53 seconds left, the Falcons holding the ball and a two-point lead and the 49ers out of time outs yesterday, Jamal Anderson ran out of bounds, which might be almost as dumb as a 54-year-old man in a high stress job and one heart procedure already behind him ignoring a burning sensation he had felt in his throat for upwards of a month.

Fair to say the Falcons have benefited from Dan Reeves’ change of scenery. Even fairer to say that he appreciates that scenery more than ever.
