Poly Prep is back on top of the Ivy Prep League.

Jay Vido scored 15 points and Bradley Gifford added 11 in the Blue Devils’ 55-40 road victory over Riverdale, the win that clinches the division crown. Poly Prep failed to win the title each of the last two years, but won 10 of 11 beforehand.

“It’s a major goal for us, the league is really important for all the teams in it, we take a lot of pride in it,” Poly Prep coach Bill McNally said. “It really is a challenge. You need to be consistently good. Bad days can really hurt you. It really is a very challenging league and I’m really proud of the guys.”

McNally expects the Blue Devils (19-3, 12-1) to be the top seed in next week’s NYSAISAA playoffs. The seeding meeting will be held Monday and the tournament starts Tuesday with the quarterfinals.
