St. John’s forward Justin Brownlee has fractured his left thumb, but is not expected to miss any time.
The senior was injured in the second half of the Red Storm’s 93-78 upset of then-No. 3 Duke on Sunday. St. John’s coach Steve Lavin says Brownlee was treated Monday.
Brownlee collided with a Duke player but stayed in the game. He finished with 20 points on 7-of-13 shooting and had nine rebounds, six assists and a steal.
X-rays revealed a nondisplaced hairline fracture. His thumb was fitted with a fiberglass splint, and he has been cleared for practices and games.
