Bosnian striker Edin Dzeko netted a hat trick as German league leaders Wolfsburg routed Hanover 96 5-0 on the road on Saturday to close in on their first Bundesliga title with one round left to play.
The league’s leading striker Grafite added two more for Wolfsburg, who are in first with 66 points — two more than Bayern Munich, who were held to a 2-2 draw on the road against a scrappy Hoffenheim.
Meanwhile, Stuttgart climbed to third place, also with 64 points, with a 2-0 win over Energie Cottbus, leaving Hertha Berlin a point behind on 63 after they failed to beat Schalke 04 in a scoreless draw.
