Marcus Camby is Latrell Sprewell’s teammate and friend, but he’s one Knick who is happy to see that Bobby Knight did not lose his job at Indiana.

“I thought they were going to force the guy into resigning or something like that,” Camby said yesterday at Purchase College.

“I saw the footage of him grabbing the guy by the neck, which is uncalled for, but that stuff happens a lot from coaches grabbing you or they smack you every now and then. I never got smacked, though. It’s good to see they didn’t run Coach Knight out. He’s meant so much to that program and has been there a long time.”
