Cardale Jones may have too much time on his hands.
In a series of strange tweets, the national championship-winning quarterback said he was leaving Ohio State and transferring to Akron, only to follow it up with a tweet that read: “May Fools.”
He even changed the background on his Twitter page to an Akron logo before changing it back to a photo of him kissing the national championship trophy.
It was a rough decision but I think it's best for me, like to thank OSU for this amazing opportunity but my time here has came to an end 😔

Jones went from being a third-string quarterback to winning it all as the starter, when fellow quarterbacks J.T. Barrett and Braxton Miller suffered serious injuries. All three remain on the roster, though there have been plenty of rumors Miller will transfer.
Who knows what Jones has in store for June 1.
