Picking a favorite food, song or movie is no easy task for many. But Carmelo Anthony laughed that he might have one of them answered. That would be the song — and it relates to holding up the 2003 NCAA trophy for Syracuse.

“Aw, c’mon, holding that trophy up at the end,” Anthony said when asked Tuesday at the Knicks practice facility for his top NCAA memory. “Hearing ‘One Shining Moment.’ That might be my favorite song.”

Anthony, becoming a minority of pretty much one, said he is not surprised by the current Syracuse cast’s success.

“I told y’all that a couple days ago, that Syracuse was going to make it to the Sweet 16. I said that,” said Anthony, the 2003 NCAA Finals MVP after the Orange beat Kansas in the championship. “Now we’re going to make it to the Elite 8 and we’re going to take it one game at a time.”

No Knicks give Anthony grief over Syracuse’s tournament credentials now.

“They’re not talking trash about Syracuse. They know better than that,” Anthony said, shrugging off the furor around the Orange’s selection. “That’s Syracuse. They always got that cloud over them. But for them to get in the tournament, they kind of found a rebirth. … They’re just taking advantage of the opportunity.”
