Including his 1997-2011 seasons in The Post, Cat’s record in print stands at 454-393 (53.6 percent) against the spread.

SUNDAY

Dolphins (+2 ) over JETS: Cat’s hearing a lot of twaddle about how this is a must-win for the Jets. What the hey? Don’t you think it is the same for the Dolphins, in the contentious AFC East? Earlier, Gang Green were dumb-lucky to escape Miami with a W, and off three straight draining efforts, home team figures to hit the wallagainst determined Dolphins defense and fast-developing Ryan Tannehill. Revenge sweet, as Jets get caught in the Miami (defensive) vise. Reggie Bush laughs last. Dolphins (+2 ) for one unit.

Panthers (+7 1/2) over BEARS: Gutwrenching call, given Cam Newton’s petulance and turmoil within Panthers organization. But Cat’s in short-term fade-Bears mode, with Chicago in danger into being lulled into false sense of security, because of their soft schedule. Newton wouldn’t let Chicago “D” coast to the wire last season — and are you confident Jay Cutler’s 100 percent? Accountants defending against teasers are likely to move this to +9. Panthers (+7 1/2) contend, for one unit.

LAST WEEK: 1-1. Lions (plus one unit). Temple (minus one unit).

SEASON: 10-4.
