LONDON — The price of the much sought-after tickets to Saturday’s UEFA Champions League final was set at more than 30 times their face value Friday, with a pair being offered for $33,474 (£20,373).

The exorbitant price for the seats at London’s Wembley Stadium for Manchester United’s showdown with Barcelona was being advertised online by a Spanish outlet Thursday night.

A rival Spanish firm offered one ticket for $4,989 (£8,198).

The inflated resale prices added to fans’ fury at the tickets costing so much in the first place.

Manchester United supporter John Butler, 60, complained that “fans are being priced out” after tickets for the game at Wembley were set at $492 (£300).

Old Trafford boss Sir Alex Ferguson already blasted the “unbelievable” prices, which the head of European soccer’s governing body UEFA, Michel Platini, finally admitted were “a mistake.”

A Norwegian seller was meanwhile fined $1,643 (£1,000) by magistrates in west London after being snared with 60 tickets.

Sanjas Malhortra, 44, flew in with them from Oslo.
