HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. — Jockey Eiber Coa will be discharged from the hospital this afternoon.

Coa injured his neck and broke his wrist in a fall from his horse after a Feb. 18 race at Gulfstream Park.

Coa, who had limited movement from the neck down after getting hurt, has improved since the accident.

On March 29, while making his first public appearance at the Florida Derby Golf Tournament, Coa got up from his wheelchair and walked.
