Not a good day for the Mets. Carlos Delgado returns to New York for MRI of his right hip. Replacement first baseman Marlon Anderson runs into Ryan Church in right-field, chasing a pop in the fourth against the Dodgers at Tradition Field.

Both players have to leave the game. Michel Abreu, who has some pop, is now your Mets first baseman today on a brilliantly sunny, perfect, gotta love it, wish you were here, man, it’s cold in New York, kind of day.

Saw my favorite ad of the spring here today at Tradition Field. Had to visit the Men’s Room before the game and so I look up and read a big ad for a local urologist that proclaims: “Are You Striking Out at the Urinal?’’ It then lists the doctor’s name.

All I can is times have changed in spring training.

Bet you they never had ads like that when Dodgertown opened.
