The fact that Abu Dhabi United Group _ who are trying to turn Manchester City into the new Chel$ki _ are looking at buying Real Mallorca isn’t a shock. But one of the Spanish team’s other suitors is a little more surprising: Red Bull.

While the Balearic-based press report that reps from the Abu Dhabi-based investment group had flown to the island to talk with Real Mallorca’s brass, apparently the club has three offers in hand. Two are British, and the third is from Austrian billionaire Dietrich Mateschitz, who owns Red Bull New York as well as Red Bull Salzburg and multiple Formula One racing teams.

The early money is on a British group winning the bid, but if Abu Dhabi money starts rolling in, chances are that’s who ends up with the club. But if Red Bull adds the Spanish team, what does that mean for RBNY? Matt Kassel and Walter Hines heading to la Liga? Juan Carlos Osorio stalking the sidelines against Real Madrid and Barcelona? OK, I kid, I kid. But what do you guys think? Check in with your views on the news…..
