Dave Cowens last night reiterated his desire to work with Don Chaney as an assistant coach.

Chaney has Cowens on his list but the former Celtic Hall of Fame center said no formal interview has taken place.

Attending last night’s Nets-Celtics playoff game, Cowens told The Post, “Somebody’s friend calls you, you listen. I have a lot of respect for Don.

“If he asks me to come down, I have to give it every consideration.”
