Mark DeRosa yesterday reportedly was close to accepting a two-year contract with the Giants worth $12 million.
DeRosa is among the options the Yankees have discussed for left field. But it’s believed general manager Brian Cashman is looking to add a player for less than the Giants have offered DeRosa.
The 34-year-old batted .250 last season with 23 homers and 78 RBIs in 139 games with the Indians and Cardinals.
