Rob Dibble, the ex-Reds’ reliever who has been a regular on ESPN Radio and ESPN’s “Baseball Tonight” since 1999, has not been renewed by either network.

A character at times given to outrageous opinions, Dibble apparently fell victim to ESPN’s growing baseball analyst numbers, which this season is likely to include ex-Phils manager Larry Bowa. Dan Patrick, whom Dibble served as a mid-day radio sidekick, will work solo.
