In all likelihood, Rick DiPietro’s Long Island debut won’t come any time soon.

The highly-touted goaltender, the No. 1 pick in last summer’s amateur draft who was recalled to the big club on Sunday as insurance for starter John Vanbiesbrouck, was sent back down to Chicago yesterday hours after after the Beezer’s wife gave birth to the couple’s fourth son.

For the record, Daniel John Vanbiesbrouck was a healthy eight pounds, nine ounces.

Daniel’s father is expected to be between the pipes tonight when the Isles host the Predators and try to end their two-game skid.

Butch Goring’s crew can tie the first-place Devils with a win tonight, but it will have to do so against a Nashville team that comes to the Nassau Coliseum sporting an impressive 3-0-0-1 mark on the road. In fact, the Predators are the only team in the NHL yet to lose a game away from home.

Goring also indicated that rookie left wing Taylor Pyatt, a healthy scratch the last two games, will be in the lineup tonight.
