NOT only did the Nets lose the series and – in all probability – Jason Kidd, there’s every reason to believe assistant Eddie Jordan is the frontrunner for the 76ers’ vacancy (as evidenced by a second interview) and chief scout Ed Stefanski will beat out Celtics GM Chris Wallace for the Blazers GM opening; a decision is expected by the end of the week.

Look for former Rockets’ president Steve Patterson, who assembled the team’s titles rosters (exempting Clyde Drexler for the repeat) and is currently VP of the Houston Texans, to replace deposed Bob Whitsitt as Portland president.
