After The Post’s Andrew Marchand broke the news that ESPN stalwart Tom Rinaldi was leaving the network for Fox Sports, many of the veteran storyteller’s colleagues took to social media to react to his departure.

Fox confirmed the report Thursday morning with a press release that said Rinaldi is expected to start working across all of its sports events beginning in 2021. Rinaldi is just the latest ESPN on-air talent that Fox has swiped in the past year, a list that includes Adam Amin, Jonathan Vilma and Emmanuel Acho.

“If anyone at @espn tells you this doesn’t hurt, they be lying,” reporter James Andrew Miller wrote on Twitter.

Several current ESPN staffers confirmed that notion when an outpouring of support for Rinaldi, who was best known for his features on “College GameDay,” emerged on social media.
