Day 16 of the Euros features the quarterfinal clash pitting Italy, the reigning World Cup champions, against Spain at 2:30 p.m. ET.

The Italians, known for getting hot as tournament’s progress, will need to play as they did against France if they hope to pull out a win against Spain.

The Azzurri will be without Gennaro Gattuso and Andrea Pirlo, both out because of yellow card accumulation, and coach Roberto Donadoni will have to pray that his bench is deep enough to deal with such notable absences.

As for Spain, striker David Villa will give the Italian defense a hard time. As usual, expect Italy goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon to put on his usual heroics and keep the Azzurri in the game.

Spain will have to avoid the fate of Portugal and Holland, who played great in the group stage but flopped in the elimination round.
