Kevin Ogletree was set to become possibly the top receiver in the ACC this year, but now, the former Holy Cross star likely won’t even get on the field for Virginia.

Ogletree, whose 52 receptions trailed only Georgia Tech All-American Calvin Johnson in the conference, tore his ACL while making a cut during practice and will need surgery.

“He’s pretty down,” said Holy Cross coach Tom Pugh. “But he’s a tough kid. He’ll bounce back.”

The 6-foot-1 sophomore did not redshirt his freshman season, so if he misses all of this year, he will still have two years of eligibility remaining.
