FA Cup Final Moves to FSC
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Englandâs Football Association Cup final will move from pay-per-view to the Fox Soccer Channel under a four-year agreement that runs through the 2011-12 season.
While FSC has televised some FA Cup matches in recent years, the final has been a pay-per-view broadcast.
FSC announced a four-year agreement Tuesday that also covers the annual Community Shield and home World Cup qualifiers and exhibition games of Englandâs national team, FSC spokeswoman Veronica Alvarez said.
The new deal includes U.S. English and Spanish broadcast rights. It also gives FSC Internet, broadband and mobile rights, some exclusive and some shared with Setanta Sports North America.
