Yorel Hawkins scored 25 points and Fairfield held off a late Iona surge for a 75-71 victory last night in Bridgeport, Conn., giving the Stags their sixth straight win.

Michael Glover scored 18 points to lead Iona, which lost its fourth straight game by four points or less.

In Buffalo, Julius Coles scored 18 points to lead all five Canisius starters in double figures as the Golden Griffins (11-11, 5-7 MAAC) sent Marist (4-20, 3-9) to its seventh straight loss.

In Providence, freshman Sean McGonagill scored a career-high 39 points and Brown sent Columbia (12-9, 3-2) to its second loss in three games.
