University of Connecticut officials say they’ve rescheduled the football team’s home game against Fordham to Saturday at Rentschler Field.

The game was originally scheduled for Thursday night, but it was postponed because the stadium was being used as a distribution center for storm-related aid after Hurricane Irene.

The game is slated to kickoff at noon at the East Hartford stadium. All tickets and parking passes issued for the original date of Thursday will be honored.

Connecticut National Guard troops have been at the stadium this week unloading food and water from delivery trucks and loading items onto other trucks bound for shelters and other locations across the state.
