Former Giant wide receiver Mark Ingram left his Fort Lauderdale, Fla., home Wednesday and surrendered to the FBI in New York for allegedly skipping across state lines to avoid paying $150,000 in court-ordered child support for his 6-year-old daughter.

Ingram, 34, who starred for the Giants in their 1990 Super Bowl victory over the Bills, was charged in Manhattan Federal Court with violating the federal Child Support Recovery Act for failing to pay $153,386 in child support to his daughter, who now lives with her mother in Mt. Vernon.

In August, 1993, a Hudson County (N.J.) court ordered Ingram to pay $750 per week in child support, to set up a $150,000 college fund and keep a $750,000 life insurance policy naming his daughter as beneficiary, the complaint charged. That year, Ingram left the Giants and inked a three-year, $4 million contract with the Dolphins.

Ingram moved to Weston, Fla., where he now co-owns $700,000 in real-estate with his current wife and also owns a car detailing business. He kept up the support payments until September, 1997, the complaint charged. A month later, an arrest warrant was issued out of New Jersey when he failed to appear at a family court hearing.

The Feds were called in last August after interstate attempts to get him to pay came up empty. Ingram was released on $150,000 bond and immediately returned to Florida.

Reached there yesterday, Ingram referred questions to his lawyer, who did not return calls.
