MIAMI – Zach Thomas, author of the well-publicized post-game diatribe last month after the Jets came back to beat Miami, was left only to compliment the Jets after his Dolphins were shellacked, 24-0, by the Jets yesterday.

“There’s nothing bad about them that I can say. The Jets look like a playoff team that has a chance to go a long way,” Thomas told The Post as he stood alone in the bowels of Pro Player Stadium long after the game, signing footballs for New York City police and firemen.

Some of Thomas’ Miami teammates, however, weren’t as effusive as they wallowed in an eighth consecutive loss to the hated Jets.

“I’m convinced there is a curse,” Dolphins’ CB Patrick Surtain said. “No way in hell are you going to convince me [otherwise] with those two interceptions [by Aaron Glenn and Victor Green]. It only happens to us against those guys – tipped balls and miracle touchdowns.

“It’s scary out there.”

Miami DE Lorenzo Bromell also disputed Glenn’s INT of a bobbled reception and Green’s batted pass to himself as Jets’ dumb luck, saying, “They scored twice on some hocus-pocus type stuff.”

Added Miami TE Hunter Goodwin: “The football gods didn’t want us to win the game.”

Dolphins’ DE Jason Taylor was asked if he hopes to see the Jets again in the playoffs.

“If we don’t have to see those guys ever again I wouldn’t be mad,” Taylor said. “As far as I’m concerned [the NFL] can take them out of the division. It’s not a talent thing. It’s not a scheme thing. They’re beating us in our minds.

“When things don’t go well against [the Jets], all that stinking talk we’ve heard about the streak all week does have an effect on us.”

Since falling behind the Dolphins, 17-0, in the first half on Oct. 14 at Giants Stadium, the Jets have outscored the Dolphins 45-0.

Any thought about a jinx or hex might have entered the minds of the Dolphins when their kicker, Olindo Mare, who entered the game as the NFL’s only perfect kicker 19-of-19 on PATs and 13-of-13 on FGs, missed a 42-yard FG attempt wide right. Mare entered the game as the NFL’s most accurate FG kicker with an 85-percent success rate.

Jets’ WR Wayne Chrebet, though, disputed any notion that luck was involved yesterday, saying, “Guys were out there stepping up and making plays. It’s not like things were dropping on our laps.”
