ABSTRACT:

LEXINGTON – Attorney Karen Murphy, who has been representing veterinarian Dr. Michael Galvin in his year-long struggle with he New York Racing Association, upped the ante yesterday by socking NYRA with a $10 million lawsuit in federal court charging the association with six counts of violating her civil rights.

“I’m going to way,” Murphy said. “(The violations) were all an outgrowth of my representation of Galvin.”

Murphy’s lawsuit comes in addition to a pending $32 million suit filed by Galvin against NYRA charging the association with violating his due-process rights when he was suspended last summer for allegedly “tubing” the filly Hip Wolf on march 27, 1998.
