President Bush’s eight o’clock press conference last night pushed the start of Game 2 of the ALDS between the Yankees and A’s at Yankee Stadium back to 8:45. It was originally slated to start at 8:19.

“It’s for a good reason,” Joe Torre said. “The President goes on at 8 and everybody is interested in what he has to say.”
