Chris Gatling sat in his sport utility vehicle after practice and waved off all attempts at conversation. Asked about his trade request and whether he wanted to remain a Net, Gatling gave a simple terse reply.

“No comment … no comment … sorry, no comment.”

Well, that certainly cleared matters up.

Apparently frustrated by a lack of playing time in what has become a miserable losing situation, Gatling requested a trade in a chat Wednesday with John Calipari, who seemed irked over that little tidbit getting out.

“Gat and I have been on the same page. Guys get disappointed when they’re not playing and I want guys to be upset when they’re not playing,” Calipari said.
